The Misomber Nuan brand appeared in 2008 and was already beginning its rapid international expansion in less than a year’s time: selling first in Berlin, and then in other key cities of Europe and Asia.

"International" is no randomly chosen word for this brand. Its very name suggests this, combining two languages: Misomber translates as "cheerless" in Swahili, while Nuan (forming part of the designer's name) is Chinese for "warm". Designer Fuanco thinks out every detail - from the brand name to the complex necklines on the shirts - so that they become overgrown with dozens of subscripts that give Misomber Nuan items the ability to change depending on the context.
THE CONCEPTUAL NATURE OF THE BRAND WAS HARDWIRED INTO ITS DNA
Fuanco assigns each collection a number with a hashtag (#15 being the 2018 spring-summer collection). The designer has called this idea SELF # and supervises it personally: in giving names to the collections, he strives to emphasize that each of them has a unique character, like people. A unisex component is also important to the Misomber Nuan concept. This is a menswear brand, but most items in it (the maxi-shirts, loose cotton trousers, and asymmetrical poplin coats) suit both the male and female figure equally well.

UNIVERSALITY OF FIT
This universality of fit is down to the skills of Misomber Nuan’s dress cutters and the designer’s mastery of fabrics. Visitors to the brand’s Paris showroom, where a new collection is presented every six months, note that things seem to flow through their fingers. A surprising softness of cotton, knitwear, wool, and even denim has become a trademark of Misomber Nuan, demonstrating Fuanco’s attentive eye for detail.
This property is made manifest in everything: the coarse, out-turned seams; the double lapels of the jackets; shaped metal fasteners; and the vents in the shirts, which can either be fastened up with a number of small buttons, or left unbuttoned to create a completely new silhouette. And all this with the precise minimalism of Misomber Nuan clothes. Even such unusual details for men's clothing as the braids with silk tassels are so neatly inserted as to not violate either the avant-garde proportions or the general laconic tone.
